27 Sep 2023 - Things about me and whatever else
What’s sucky about my current university experience is how bad I am at scheduling things. I can show up to lectures and labs on time all the time, but the time in-between is tough to allocate to different tasks I need to do.
I have a total of five hours between the photogrammetry cert lecture and the math course I know I will get made fun of for if I say I’m taking it. What on earth do I do during that time? I usually head home and pass out to the soothing sounds of The Offspring’s Worst Hangover Ever, which I still listen to for some reason even though I don’t drink anymore. I can’t bear the song unless I can relate to it in real-time. Sometimes with improvised choreography.
But sometimes – increasingly often now that the weather is cooler – I’ll just head out to the bread machine and screw around on my laptop in the corner of the parking lot. And that’s all I do for five fucking hours.
I walked the trails a total of once recreationally, and it turns out if you’re not walking on the trails before the sun has come up over the horizon there’s a lot of people walking around. Doesn’t do too well for me, to say the least. Hoping as it gets colder there will be less people on the trails so I can walk in peace.
But today’s topic isn’t all that, I kinda got sidetracked while writing. Today’s post is about how my lack of scheduling skills and focus has abolutely fucked with all my projects. Eh, I’ll write about it later, I have a math class to get to.
